Perfect gifts to say I love you this Mothers Day.
As a mother to young children myself, I know that my most treasured gift will be something they’ve already been too excited to keep secret, the lovely cards and canvas’ that they have painted for me. However for my own mumma, that’s not quite going to cut it, as a side note my seven year old has recently shared that she won’t be calling me mumma on school grounds any more as it’s ‘too embarrasing’ but taking the rough with the smooth is the cornerstone of motherhood in my opinion!
Below is a little edit i’ve put together, with some items such as the Kantha Quilts newly available on indianpoppy.com, they really are the most wonderful pieces and they resonate with the fabric of motherhood, thousands of collected fragments and stitches to create something so beautiful and unique.
With it looking to be a wonderfully bright and warm spring, I would also suggest a lovely tablecloth. Mine are all traditional indian hand block printed fabric and very sensibly priced while making a wonderful impact, therefore the ideal gift!
Also endlessly useful and highly prized are the wonderful bags and baskets which are ever popular. I particularly adore these scalloped bags which are perfect shoppers to take to the market and they hold their shape incredibly well.
Finally the stunning hand painted blue pottery plates. These particular ones are a little more unusual as they have a tonal background underneath the softly hand painted glaze.
Heres my top pick for the best ways to show her that you care!
